Crusoe is a vertically integrated AI infrastructure company that owns and operates the full stack from energy generation to AI workloads. The company is solving the power bottleneck for AI compute through an energy-first approach. As Senior Manager of Strategic Initiatives, you will work directly with the President/CSO and executive leadership to help Crusoe make critical business decisions and execute them. You'll handle high-impact questions such as optimal asset ownership structures, data center supply chain build-vs-buy decisions, and international market entry strategies. Key responsibilities include: - Writing executive recommendations: Define decision frameworks, gather facts from stakeholders across product, engineering, and finance, and produce concise memos with financial analysis, options, tradeoffs, and recommendations backed by unit economics models and scenario planning. - Launching new programs: Convert approved recommendations into operational programs with defined goals, milestones, budgets, and executive sponsorship. Run pilots to test critical assumptions, manage checkpoints to decide whether to scale, pivot, or stop. Coordinate across engineering, finance, legal, real estate, and external partners until handoff to a permanent business unit leader. - Special projects for the President's office: Lead cross-functional or cross-business-unit initiatives, support executive leadership on board materials, investor presentations, international expansion, and deal evaluation, and triage incoming requests. The role blends strategic thinking, financial analysis, writing, stakeholder management, and hands-on project execution. You'll be equally comfortable on a factory floor or job site as in the boardroom. Crusoe Spark, the company's modular data center business, originated as a program on this team. REQUIREMENTS: - 7–10 years in management consulting, corporate strategy, investment banking, private equity, or strategy/chief of staff roles at fast-growing infrastructure, energy, or technology companies, with meaningful operating company experience (not advisory-only). - Strong executive writing skills (investment memos, board materials, strategy recommendations with financial backing); writing sample and case exercise required. - Demonstrated ability to take programs from approval through day-to-day operation, including course corrections and handoff to permanent ownership. - Ability to build financial models from scratch with scenario analysis; comfort with capital-heavy business metrics (megawatts, cost per kilowatt, capex, lead times). - Experience in at least one of: data centers, power and energy, AI compute and cloud, or manufacturing. - Daily proficiency with AI tools (Claude, Gemini, etc.) for research, analysis, and writing, with critical judgment to validate outputs. BONUS QUALIFICATIONS: - Experience preparing board or investor materials at late-stage private companies. - Track record launching new products, business lines, or ventures (inside larger companies or startups). - International market entry or cross-border deal experience, especially Latin America or Europe; Spanish or Portuguese language skills. - Manufacturing scaling or lean operations experience. - MBA or quantitative graduate degree.
