Chainalysis is the blockchain data platform providing data, software, services, and research to government agencies, financial institutions, and cybersecurity companies to detect and prevent cryptocurrency crime and ensure compliance. The Finance and Strategy team serves as strategic financial advisors to leadership. You will join at a critical growth inflection point, reporting directly to the VP Head of Finance. This is a high-visibility, high-impact individual contributor role blending rigorous analytics with executive communication and stakeholder management. Key responsibilities: - Lead valuation work, TAM analyses, and market research. Drive competitive intelligence and market analyses across public/private sectors, geographies, and product segments. - Analyze current pricing and packaging models. Develop deep understanding of market pricing trends related to AI and consumption-based models. Influence pricing strategy across business segments. - Enhance and own the company's long-range financial model. Build dynamic models enabling leadership to rapidly evaluate financial impact of strategic decisions. Lead sensitivity analyses around macro factors relevant to blockchain/crypto industry. Scale the model into planning tools. - Create sophisticated financial models and drive scenario analyses informing major capital allocation decisions, including M&A, partnerships, and new market entry. Synthesize outputs into clear, executive-ready narratives and recommendations. - Track post-investment performance against underwriting assumptions and surface learnings back into planning process. - Serve as trusted advisor to senior leadership on high-stakes strategic questions. Understand long-term impact of near-term decisions and make recommendations to executive team. - Partner operationally with the business. Understand operational impacts of strategic work and ensure suggestions are operationally feasible. Assist with implementation of operational changes. Required qualifications: - 6–9 years in investment banking, private equity, corporate finance, FP&A, or similar analytical role - Strong executive presentation skills; ability to clearly present complex topics to C-level audience - Investor mindset; ability to synthesize complex business dynamics into clear investment theses - Strong business intuition connecting financial outcomes to operational drivers - Comfortable operating with ambiguity and making high-quality decisions with incomplete information - Entrepreneurial orientation; eager to define and develop strategic finance function - Excellent financial modeling skills in Excel and Google Sheets - Experience at SaaS, data, or technology company preferred - Blockchain, crypto, or Web3 familiarity is a strong plus but not required The company emphasizes AI fluency as core to performance and winning.
