Skylo has pioneered a standards-based approach to satellite connectivity, connecting smartphones and IoT devices directly to satellites with no special hardware required. The company's direct-to-device service is live on millions of activated devices across five continents, covering more than 72 million square kilometers in partnership with leading satellite operators, mobile network operators, chipset makers, and OEMs worldwide. You will own Skylo's social strategy and content operations across LinkedIn, X, and owned channels. This role spans four core areas: **Social Strategy & Voice:** Develop and execute Skylo's social strategy, determining what the company posts and in whose voice. Build LinkedIn as the industry hub for direct-to-device connectivity news and original points of view. Establish X as a corporate channel. Develop executive and spokesperson social presence by drafting in their voice, building their perspective, and briefing them on relevant moments. Measure engagement quality against benchmarks, ensuring the right audiences—reporters, analysts, partners—are reached. **Agency Direction:** Direct Skylo's social agency partners on day-to-day execution. Set the bar for quality, review work, and hold partners accountable to outcomes rather than output volume. Ensure all agency work aligns with Skylo's messaging architecture across markets and time zones. **Owned Content:** Transform corporate narrative into publishable material including blog posts, video scripts, and event content. Produce people and culture content that attracts senior candidates, showcasing what the team builds and why people joined. Partner with talent to ensure open roles reach candidates who understand the company. Build an employee-generated content engine by interviewing engineers, product leads, and partner teams to convert technical substance into stories accessible to carrier executives, OEM buyers, and reporters. Own messaging copy across the website in partnership with brand and marketing teams. Build content supply for industry moments including flagship events, announcements, and launches. **Discoverability & Measurement:** Partner with Skylo's PR agency to convert their reporting metrics into strategic decisions about what to double down on, kill, or test. Own how Skylo appears to AI answer engines and search by structuring site copy, bylines, and third-party placements so crawlers and LLMs accurately describe the category and company. **Requirements:** - 5–7 years in social and content marketing, brand communications, or editorial, with most experience in B2B technology, infrastructure, or technically demanding categories - Deep B2B social expertise, particularly LinkedIn: demonstrated track record building corporate presence that industry insiders follow; understanding of what drives engagement from analysts and reporters versus follower-count metrics - Proven experience briefing and directing agencies or external creative teams; ability to set standards, give useful feedback, and extract better work from partners - Exceptional writer and editor with range across LinkedIn posts, website copy, and technical blogs - Ability to translate complex technical material into clear, credible narratives, with published examples - Startup pace and scope: comfort deciding, drafting, and shipping with a small team where idea-to-publish cycle is short - Fluency with social management tools, analytics platforms, and AI-assisted content tooling **Nice to Have:** - Satellite, telecom, wireless, IoT, or semiconductor experience, or evidence of rapid ramp on standards-heavy domains - Experience working alongside PR agencies and understanding how social, earned media, and analyst relations reinforce each other - Marketing to dual audiences: enterprise/partner buyers and consumer-adjacent end-users - Experience with AI and LLM discoverability as a content discipline - Video and multimedia skills: scripting, shot lists, working with videographers and motion designers, live event capture - Design fluency sufficient to brief designers and create basic assets - Prior contract or fractional work at early-stage or scaling companies with rapid ramp cycles - Comfort managing flagship trade show cycles including pre-event and on-site weeks
