Datacor is the leading provider of software solutions—ERP, CRM, Asset Tracking, Simulation, and Formulation—to the process manufacturing industry. The company helps customers in sanitization, fertilization, beautification, cleaning, and recycling use data as a competitive advantage. You will lead both the architecture and team for Datacor's Salesforce platform, which serves as the system of record for sales, service, and renewals across multiple business units. Reporting to the VP of IT & CISO, you'll own the strategic direction, architectural standards, and design decisions that ensure the platform scales without constraining the business. Key responsibilities include: **Strategic & Architectural Leadership:** - Own the migration to Salesforce Revenue Cloud, including target-state design, data migration, and phasing that avoids business disruption. - Develop and maintain a multi-year Salesforce platform roadmap aligned to business outcomes and company strategy. - Make and defend build-versus-buy and build-versus-configure decisions, including AppExchange solution evaluation and partner selection. - Own integrations and data architecture across upstream/downstream systems, including middleware strategy, master data management, and data governance. - Lead architectural onboarding of acquisitions and new business units, assessing environments, defining target states, and planning migrations. - Establish and enforce architectural standards, design patterns, and governance models. - Serve as design authority for significant changes, reviewing solutions before build and maintaining a technical debt backlog. - Own release and DevOps strategy, including source control, environment management, and deployment pipelines. - Translate Salesforce roadmap changes (new releases, feature retirements, licensing updates) into business impact plans. - Partner with Information Security on platform security architecture, access models, and compliance requirements. **Team Leadership:** - Lead, develop, and retain a team of administrators; make the case for additional capacity as the platform grows. - Manage the team directly with regular one-on-ones, goal setting, performance reviews, and career development. - Ensure reliable platform operation: production incident response, integration failure triage, scheduled job monitoring, and credential lifecycle management. - Define team ways of working: intake, prioritization, estimation, documentation, peer review, and definition of done. - Own capacity planning and prioritization, negotiating scope and sequencing across departments. - Mentor the team on Salesforce best practices and architectural thinking. The platform includes Salesforce CPQ with subscription pricing for enterprise SaaS, Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, Experience Cloud portals, Agentforce, and significant custom development. This is a hands-on leadership role requiring comfort both defending architectural decisions to executives and reviewing colleague solution designs.
