Harvey is an AI platform transforming legal and professional services by combining frontier agentic AI, enterprise-grade infrastructure, and deep domain expertise. Founded in 2022 and backed by world-class investors, the company is at a critical inflection point with strong product-market fit and rapid scaling.
You'll lead two critical design functions: the Admin experience and the Platform design system team. Admin is how firm leaders configure, govern, and scale Harvey within their organizations—from workflow configuration to usage visibility. This is where customers turn their investment into measurable ROI. The Platform team defines Harvey's design system as a set of product decisions that encode what good looks like for AI-powered legal work, creating patterns that product teams inherit rather than requests they submit.
Key responsibilities include:
**Admin Product Ownership**: Drive strategy and execution in close partnership with Product and Engineering. Work directly with customers, research, and usage data to identify where champions lose time or confidence. Design workflow configuration, knowledge management, and visibility experiences that solve real problems. Tie your roadmap to customer outcomes: faster rollout, wider adoption, and measurable ROI.
**Design System Leadership**: Define Harvey's design system as product decisions, not just a service. Set the craft bar across interaction, systems thinking, content design, and visual execution. Build a governance model that enables speed without fragmentation, with clear contribution paths and adoption expectations.
**AI Tooling Strategy**: Decide how Harvey's designers use AI—what tools to adopt, what to build, and what the new default workflow looks like from problem to prototype. Raise both the floor and ceiling: make the whole team faster while enabling individual designers to ship work that previously required a pod.
**Team Building & Leadership**: Build and grow a team of high-craft individual contributors across systems, product, and prototyping. Own org design, resourcing, and prioritization across multiple surfaces with different rhythms. Provide strategic, systems-level feedback on end-to-end flows.
**Cross-Org Leadership**: Partner with design, product, and engineering leaders to evolve how Harvey builds. Represent Platform in high-stakes conversations with executives and customers. Establish how design decisions get made in high-trust, high-stakes environments where clarity and accuracy are non-negotiable. Be a foundational member of the Design leadership team.
You'll report to the VP Design as a foundational member of the Design leadership team, with portfolio-wide impact on how the product, team, and culture scale. You'll set the operating bar for how the organization works and lay foundations that hold for years.
