Turo is the world's largest car-sharing marketplace, and this role owns the buildout and day-to-day operation of the physical and digital delivery network that moves cars to airports, hotels, homes, and delivery zones across the US.
As Senior Manager of Network Operations & Logistics, you will lead a hands-on 0→1 initiative to design and scale the logistics infrastructure that fulfills delivery across multiple markets. You will own the end-to-end design of logistics processes and physical infrastructure, including curbside and on/off-airport nodes, mobility hubs, staging, parking, and turnover locations. You will establish the operating logic that makes these hubs repeatable and scalable market to market.
Key responsibilities include:
- Building the delivery network: Design logistics processes and physical infrastructure for airports and delivery zones.
- Standing up and scaling mobility hubs: Establish staging, parking, and turnover locations as affordable, repeatable platforms.
- Launching and scaling Pit Crew (turnover-as-a-service): Define the service model, quality bar, and unit economics.
- Owning network reliability: Set and hold SLAs for on-time delivery, turnover speed/quality, and curbside experience; drive down recurrence through incident triage and root-cause analysis.
- Leading the operations team: Manage and develop Airport PM and Delivery Zones PM, setting priorities and building an accountable, high-performing team.
- Instrumenting the network: Partner with Data to build KPIs, diagnostics, and Weekly Business Review cadence that surface underperformance and drive prioritization.
- Running a cost-disciplined operating model: Own cost-to-serve and unit economics, balancing service quality against margin.
- Stewarding vendors and partners: Build and manage parking, turnover, staging, and technology partnerships.
- Executing cross-functionally: Drive aligned outcomes across Product, Engineering, Data, Finance, and Partnerships.
- Building for what's next: Design the network with automation and autonomous-vehicle readiness in mind.
You will work in a hybrid arrangement, expected in the office 3 days per week (Mondays, Wednesdays, Thursdays).
Requirements:
- 8+ years in operations, logistics, supply chain, or general management, including multi-market delivery or marketplace operations at scale
- Bachelor's degree required (engineering, operations, supply chain, or business preferred)
- Proven track record building and running a delivery or logistics network across many regional markets — designing the operating logic, not just executing it
- Deep marketplace and supply/demand fluency — diagnosing and fixing density, utilization, and reliability problems across a distributed footprint
- Strong analytical and data-driven operating rigor, with hands-on SQL and BI tools (Tableau/Looker); comfort with Python or data pipelines a plus
- Demonstrated reliability and incident-management discipline — triage taxonomies, root-cause analysis, and SLA ownership
- Effective people leader, able to lead through and develop program managers and operators
- Skilled in cross-functional execution and influence without authority
- Track record of standardizing playbooks and controlled rollouts that scale wins across markets
- Creative, entrepreneurial, 0→1 builder with strong bias for action and ownership
Bonus qualifications:
- Exposure to autonomous vehicles, connected-vehicle systems, or fleet technology
- Experience in physical operations, field operations, facilities, or real estate/site buildout
- Domain experience in airports, travel, mobility, or car rental
- MBA from a top university
- Technical or engineering background
