Salary: USD 122,212 - 160,404 / annual
Oscar Health is seeking a Senior Manager of Network Contracting to lead a team responsible for negotiating, executing, and analyzing contracts with large national and complex healthcare providers and systems. This role focuses on maintaining and enhancing the provider network while meeting accessibility, quality, and financial goals across the Central Region (Illinois, Iowa, Kansas, Michigan, Nebraska, Ohio).
You will oversee a team of contracting managers, associates, and specialists, providing strategic leadership, mentorship, and development opportunities. Key responsibilities include leading contract settlement negotiations to reach mutually beneficial agreements, managing complex healthcare provider contracts with favorable terms and regulatory compliance, and conducting comprehensive reviews to identify optimization opportunities.
You will work closely with Market Leaders to implement contracting strategies aligned with network adequacy, development, and cost management objectives. The role requires leveraging working knowledge of provider financial issues and competitor strategies to inform negotiation decisions. You'll monitor key metrics for network performance, cost, and provider satisfaction, providing regular reports to leadership.
Dispute resolution and settlement negotiations are core to this position, ensuring compliance with company standards and regulatory requirements. You'll build and maintain positive relationships with healthcare providers to ensure network stability and quality, while driving implementation of contracting policies and workflows across your team.
This is a field-based remote position with frequent local travel for client meetings and occasional travel for team meetings and company events. The role reports to the Director of Network Contracting.
