Volta is a vertically integrated AI infrastructure platform building the compute utility layer for the AI era. Backed by a $10B strategic partnership with a leading frontier AI lab, Series A funding from Andreessen Horowitz, and a $5B AI Infrastructure Fund, the company is scaling rapidly toward IPO readiness across offices in London, Palo Alto, and New York. As Senior Manager/Associate Director of IT General Controls (ITGC) SOX & Internal Controls, you will lead Volta's ITGC workstream within its broader SOX implementation programme, reporting to the VP of SOX and Internal Controls. This is a hands-on leadership role requiring close partnership with IT, Finance, and Audit teams to design, test, and remediate controls across the company's IT applications and systems landscape. Key responsibilities include: developing and maintaining the scope of IT applications covered under SOX and the ITGC workstream plan; leading independent delivery of controls design and testing for all in-scope applications; providing pragmatic remediation recommendations aligned with Sarbanes-Oxley Act requirements, particularly General IT Controls; coordinating with management and external auditors on remediation approaches; delivering regular SOX ITGC updates to the VP, SOX SteerCo, Executive Committee, and Audit Committee; managing senior stakeholders across IT, Finance, and Audit; building and maintaining the ITGC SOX team; providing hands-on support to IT teams on controls execution; delivering training to process owners and department heads on SOX requirements; and supporting ISO and SOC 2 compliance implementation. You bring 6–8 years of experience leading SOX ITGC programmes, with IPO SOX readiness experience highly desirable. Big 4 background is preferred but not mandatory. You have strong knowledge of Sarbanes-Oxley Act requirements, particularly General IT Controls, and IT risk management or IT Internal Audit experience. You communicate effectively at senior levels, influence constructively, and work collaboratively across departments with strong project management skills. You are hands-on, flexible, and willing to travel internationally.
