Anthropic is seeking a Senior Manager, Infrastructure Tax to lead day-to-day execution of tax strategy across the company's major compute infrastructure portfolio. This hands-on role reports to the Infrastructure Tax Lead and owns discrete workstreams from intake through close on large capital-intensive infrastructure deals. Key responsibilities include: running deal intake on individual infrastructure transactions (gathering facts on site specs, counterparty structure, commercial terms, timing); analyzing service versus lease characterization, entity structure, and contract tax provisions; building and maintaining after-tax deal economics models (bonus depreciation, NOL utilization, scenario analysis); preparing tax inputs for technical accounting on lease-versus-purchase treatment and consolidation questions; executing datacenter entity structures across jurisdictions (entity formation, operationalization, contemporaneous documentation, withholding analysis, permanent establishment analysis, debt-versus-equity characterization); supporting transfer pricing on infrastructure footprint (facts gathering, documentation maintenance, benchmarking coordination); preparing quarterly tax provision inputs on new structures and deferred tax positions; and drafting and maintaining infrastructure tax playbooks, issue-spotting checklists, and internal trackers. The role requires strong cross-functional collaboration with Legal, Technical Accounting, FP&A, International Tax, Transfer Pricing, and Provision teams. The ideal candidate has 8–10 years of tax experience with exposure to datacenter or infrastructure tax planning, Big 4 or law firm experience in datacenter/infrastructure tax practice, or in-house tax experience at a hyperscaler or cloud provider. JD or CPA required; LL.M. in Taxation or MST preferred. Must demonstrate ability to own workstreams on capital-intensive deals with limited supervision, work across multiple jurisdictions, carry several deals in parallel, and communicate complex tax analysis clearly.
