UPSIDE Foods, the world's leading cultivated meat company, is seeking a Senior Manager of Food Safety and Quality Assurance to own all food safety and quality systems across production operations. This role is accountable for FDA Food Safety Plans and USDA HACCP plans, managing an integrated quality management system built from the ground up.
You will lead SQF and ISO-9000 certifications—designing systems, driving organizational adoption, and achieving regulatory compliance. This is a hands-on management position requiring significant floor presence alongside desk work. You'll handle everything from basic operational issues to complex documentation, data review, and system design.
Key responsibilities include:
- Owning FDA Food Safety Plan and USDA HACCP end-to-end
- Leading SQF and ISO-9000 certification initiatives
- Designing and implementing integrated quality management systems
- Ensuring regulatory compliance across both FDA and USDA production
- Supporting production teams on food safety and quality issues
- Creating and reviewing critical food safety documentation
