Allica Bank, the UK's fastest-growing fintech firm, is seeking an experienced Senior Manager of Finance Risk & Controls to lead a comprehensive controls transformation and maturity program across the organization. This role sits within the Finance & Treasury function under the CFO and is central to the bank's broader finance transformation initiative focused on automation, data flows, and process improvement. You will be responsible for developing and executing the financial controls strategy across the bank, performing process walkthroughs, and preparing detailed process and data flow documentation. Working closely with the Finance Transformation team, you'll identify opportunities for automation and design controls that appropriately address identified risks. Key responsibilities include maintaining Finance and Treasury risk and control self-assessments in collaboration with the first line of defense controls team, assessing control environment gaps through regular testing, and overseeing remedial actions. You will collaborate with second and third lines of defense to establish processes and policies aligned with Allica's Risk Management Framework, and support the Finance Director in identifying resource gaps and constraints. A significant component of this role involves working with IT teams to mature IT General Controls (ITGCs) and IT Application Controls (ITACs), particularly within a multi-application environment. The ideal candidate will be ACA/ACCA/CIMA qualified, ideally from a Big 4 or Top 10 accountancy firm, with post-qualified experience in controls-related roles. You should have demonstrated experience in SOX advisory, in-house controls teams, transformation programs focused on control improvement, or internal audit. Banking, fintech, or financial services experience is preferred but not essential; what matters most is genuine passion for fintech and commitment to contributing to Allica's growth. Allica offers flexible and hybrid working arrangements, full onboarding and development support, pension contributions, discretionary bonuses, private health cover, life assurance, and family-friendly policies including enhanced maternity and paternity leave.
