Twilio is seeking a Senior Manager of Developer Evangelism for the Americas region to lead developer relations across North and Latin America. This is a people-management role reporting to the Director of Developer Relations.
You will own the strategy and execution of developer evangelism across the Americas, leading a regional team of Developer Evangelists supporting multiple countries. Your responsibilities include:
- Inspiring and equipping developers to build with Twilio products, ensuring exceptional developer experience
- Serving as an active and authentic leader in the developer community both online and offline
- Defining and owning the regional Developer Evangelism strategy through cross-functional collaboration
- Leading and developing the careers of regional Evangelists, mentoring the next generation of talent
- Partnering cross-functionally with Marketing, Product, Sales, and other teams to align program and engagement objectives
- Communicating project plans, progress, and outcomes to stakeholders across the company
- Defining success metrics and expanding evangelism projects and programs using data-driven approaches
- Contributing to the broader Developer Network strategy as a member of the extended leadership team
- Representing the regional team while working with all levels of Twilio leadership

REQUIREMENTS:
Required:
- 8+ years of experience in Developer Relations, Developer Community, or related areas
- 3-5 years of team leading or people management experience
- Experience leading initiatives within Developer Relations, Community, and/or Developer Marketing
- Experience working cross-functionally across departments and the entire company at scale
- Experience mentoring and guiding individual contributors to realize their full potential
- Authentic excitement for serving and supporting developer communities
- Experience in cross-functional collaboration with sales, support, product, marketing, and other stakeholders
- Creative and collaborative problem-solving skills with focus on data-driven decision-making
- Skilled in storytelling to highlight developers building on Twilio and inspire others
Desired:
- Familiarity with North America and Latin America developer landscape, local communities, events, and programs
- Familiarity with project management tools and methodologies
- Ability to influence and build effective working relationships across all organizational levels
- Experience navigating emerging technology environments to deliver latest in Developer Relations
- Excellent influencing, problem-solving, consensus-building, and interpersonal communication skills
- Understanding of organizing and running developer program activities
- Prior experience leading relevant functions within Developer Relations
- Experience serving developers through Developer Evangelism in a regional context
- Professional fluency in Spanish or Portuguese
