Salary: USD 164,000 - 245,000 / annual

Affirm is seeking a Senior Manager/Bank Controller to lead the accounting function for Affirm Bank during its formation and operational build-out phase. Reporting to the Bank CFO, you will be central to establishing foundational processes, systems, and team structure for a newly formed banking entity. Key responsibilities include: • Building and leading the Bank accounting team from the ground up, providing strategic direction, recruitment, and coaching as the function scales. • Managing day-to-day operational duties including general ledger management, daily operational flows, and ensuring successful integration of accounting systems and processes into Affirm's broader infrastructure. • Overseeing all monthly financial reporting to internal and external stakeholders, including regulatory bodies, with timely and accurate submissions. • Developing and managing the regulatory reporting function to ensure accurate preparation of required filings such as FFIEC 041 Call Reports, Part 363 Annual Reports, and Federal Reserve reporting. • Serving as primary liaison with Affirm, Inc. cross-functional teams to ensure effective service delivery under the Intercompany Program Agreement while maintaining independent oversight required for a regulated banking entity. • Coordinating with external auditors on annual Bank financial statement audits. • Working with engineering and product teams to evaluate, improve, and implement tools for accounting and reporting automation. • Managing financial analysis, cash management, and strategic projects as required. Required qualifications: CPA or CA designation; minimum 10 years in accounting, finance, or treasury; minimum 5 years of people management experience; experience building and scaling accounting teams in similar industries; extensive GAAP and regulatory reporting knowledge; strong analytical and modeling skills; detail-oriented with critical thinking ability.
