The company is staffed by alumni from Square, Google, Oura, Peloton, and Uber, and is focused on transforming the human-pet relationship through cutting-edge technology. You will own hands-on execution and strategy across Google Ads (Search, Performance Max, Demand Gen, Shopping, YouTube) and Amazon Ads (Sponsored Products, Sponsored Brands, Sponsored Display, DSP). You are the single accountable owner for these channels and will build campaigns, manage bidding, pace budgets, and make scaling decisions yourself. Performance marketing sits at the center of Fi's growth, and decisions in this role directly move revenue. Key responsibilities include: - Build and manage the full Google Ads portfolio (Search, Performance Max, Demand Gen, Shopping, YouTube), handling campaign creation, bidding strategy, budget pacing, and scaling decisions - Own Amazon Ads end-to-end, setting spend strategy, keyword and product targeting priorities, and supporting new product launches - Manage CAC against acquisition targets while protecting volume and managing to payback and contribution margin (not platform-reported metrics alone) - Develop YouTube strategy across upper and lower funnel, including reach vs. Demand Gen mix and reallocation testing - Own the creative brief-to-asset pipeline for paid search, YouTube, and Amazon; represent channels in creative reviews - Maintain measurement and signal quality: conversion tagging, enhanced conversions, consent handling, customer match, exclusion lists, and brand safety controls - Manage paid-side requirements and troubleshooting for Shopping feeds and Amazon detail pages - Build and maintain reporting in Northbeam and Databricks, including Amazon CAC and unit reporting with weekly performance narratives - Run an incrementality and testing practice (lift studies, geo tests) to validate net-new customer acquisition - Lead peak planning for product launches, BFCM, holiday, and Amazon deal events (Prime Day), managing budget scenarios, creative readiness, and bidding strategy Requirements: - 6+ years in performance marketing with deep, hands-on ownership of Google Ads across Search, Performance Max, Demand Gen, and YouTube, ideally at a DTC or subscription brand at meaningful scale. Must have personal examples of building and scaling accounts against CAC, ROAS, or contribution-margin targets - Hands-on Amazon Ads ownership at meaningful spend across Sponsored Products and Sponsored Brands, ideally including DSP. Must have examples of account restructuring and moving CAC or TACoS, plus working knowledge of how detail page content, reviews, Buy Box, and pricing affect paid performance - Fluency in payback and LTV-to-CAC math on a hardware plus subscription model, including margin-based LTV and payback period, with judgment to identify when higher CAC is the right investment - Real experience running YouTube as both a reach and performance channel, including conversion lift or brand lift study design and interpretation - Fluency with Google tag setup, enhanced conversions, customer match, and exclusion list management - Ability to pull and interrogate data in SQL or BI tools; skepticism of platform-reported results; experience making a channel's case against last-touch attribution via testing - Clear communication skills, including ability to brief executives and write crisp performance recaps for non-marketers - Bonus: hardware plus subscription or other considered-purchase experience, or familiarity with media mix modeling
