Remote is a global HR platform enabling businesses to recruit, pay, and manage international teams compliantly across 80+ countries. The Senior Lifecycle Specialist, Employee Relations and Transitions role is a critical position within the Lifecycle team, serving as a trusted advisor to Remote's clients on complex employment matters.
You will independently manage end-to-end employee exits across multiple international jurisdictions, handling terminations, resignations, transfers, redundancies, and employment contracts with a focus on legal compliance and superior customer experience. Key responsibilities include leading workforce reduction consultations, facilitating administrative hearings, negotiating complex separations and settlements, and drafting tailored termination documentation. You'll coordinate with internal teams (payroll, legal, benefits, time & attendance) and external stakeholders (legal counsel, government bodies, trade unions) to ensure compliant offboarding.
Beyond offboarding, you'll provide first-level Employee Relations support, conducting preliminary assessments of workplace concerns, guiding clients through progressive discipline, documentation requirements, and best practices for handling difficult situations. You'll serve as a trusted escalation point and mentor to junior team members, sharing expertise and judgment on complex cases.

You'll work asynchronously with a distributed team across six continents, leveraging automation and AI capabilities integrated into the platform.
