As Senior Legal Counsel, you will join Truecaller's global legal team, serving as a strategic advisor to business, product, and engineering teams. Your primary responsibilities include drafting, reviewing, and negotiating a broad range of commercial agreements—including customer contracts, vendor agreements, licensing deals, partnerships, and data protection contracts. You will advise on product and technology matters, with particular focus on data use, AI/ML applications, user-generated content, platform terms, and privacy-by-design requirements.
You will act as a legal advisor balancing legal risk with business objectives, supporting corporate and strategic initiatives such as partnerships and market expansion. Additionally, you will work to improve legal operations and internal processes across the organization.
The Legal team manages all groups' legal issues globally with a focus on data privacy, tech, and contractual matters, actively supporting growth while ensuring compliance with applicable data privacy and other relevant legislation.
Required qualifications include a law degree with strong academic credentials, a minimum of 5+ years of legal experience (ideally in commercial contracts within technology/telecom), knowledge of commercial law with emphasis on IT/tech/telecom matters, a solution-oriented and proactive approach, excellent communication and organizational skills, and fluent English.
Preferred qualifications include experience from the US market, interest in or experience working in tech/telecom companies, and a Swedish or US law degree.
