Salary: GBP 71,400 - 90,000 / annual
Monzo is seeking a Fraud Compliance Manager to join its second line of defence (2LoD) Fraud and Financial Crime Compliance team. This role sits within the Risk and Compliance Collective and focuses on providing oversight, challenge, and assurance across the organization to manage fraud risks effectively while maintaining excellent customer experience.
Key responsibilities include:
- Delivering assurance reviews across fraud regulations, processes, and controls, helping teams understand and manage fraud risks
- Providing clear, actionable feedback to strengthen Monzo's control environment and support fair customer outcomes
- Supporting delivery of the Fraud Assurance Plan through oversight and challenge of first-line activities, including fraud rules and monitoring effectiveness
- Producing high-quality, data-led reports, management information, and recommendations for business stakeholders
- Tracking and validating remediation actions from assurance reviews to ensure effective resolution
- Supporting change processes, fraud compliance risk assessments, assurance planning, and continuous development of assurance methodologies
- Building positive culture around regulation, compliance, and continuous improvement through training, collaboration, and innovation
Ideal candidates will have:
- Experience in fraud analytics or similar roles
- Strong understanding of fraud regulations and guidance (APPR, PSD2, consumer duty, etc.)
- Ability to analyze complex information and data, translating findings into practical recommendations
- Experience in compliance, assurance, or audit within regulated financial services
- Strong organizational and project management skills in fast-paced environments
- Excellent stakeholder relationship building and communication at all levels
