Aviso, a leading Canadian wealth management organization, is seeking a Senior IT Auditor to join its Internal Audit team. Reporting to the Manager of Technology Internal Audit, you will lead systematic evaluations of risk management, internal controls, and governance processes with a focus on technology risks.
Key responsibilities include planning and executing internal audit engagements across business applications, IT infrastructure, IT security practices, technology and data governance (both on-premises and cloud environments). You will conduct system control reviews, deliver high-quality audit work in compliance with IIA standards, communicate findings to management, and recommend improvements to enhance control effectiveness. You will also liaise with third-party auditors, serve as a trusted business partner to stakeholders, mentor team members where applicable, and propose innovative approaches using data analytics and visualization.
Required qualifications: Bachelor's or Post-Graduate degree; relevant professional certification (CISA, CISSP, CIA, or equivalent); 5+ years of IT internal audit experience, preferably in financial services (credit unions, securities, asset management, insurance); demonstrated ability to work effectively across all organizational levels; fluent English communication.
Assets include experience assessing enterprise IT controls against NIST CSF and ISO/IEC 27001 frameworks, familiarity with audit management software and data analytics tools, and bilingual French/English capabilities.
