We seek a Senior Infrastructure Engineer to join our Infrastructure & Platform team in Madrid. You will design, implement, and operate highly available, scalable, and secure infrastructure solutions across AWS cloud environments and on-premise datacenters. This role combines deep expertise in cloud infrastructure, networking, storage, virtualization, and automation with architectural ownership and technical leadership.
Key responsibilities include:
- Design, deploy, and maintain secure, scalable infrastructure across on-premise and AWS environments
- Lead implementation and optimization of hybrid cloud architectures
- Manage and optimize AWS services (EC2, VPC, S3, IAM, RDS, Route 53, CloudFront, ECS, EKS, Lambda, API Gateway, Step Functions)
- Design secure connectivity solutions between cloud and datacenter using AWS Direct Connect, Transit Gateway, VPNs, and VPC Peering
- Manage Linux and Windows-based infrastructure platforms
- Administer virtualization platforms (VMware vSphere, ESXi, Hyper-V, KVM)
- Manage enterprise storage environments including NetApp solutions, backup, replication, and disaster recovery
- Implement Infrastructure as Code using Terraform and CloudFormation
- Develop automation tooling using Python, Bash, and PowerShell
- Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines for infrastructure and platform deployments
- Monitor, troubleshoot, and continuously improve infrastructure performance and reliability
- Mentor junior engineers and contribute to infrastructure architecture decisions
- Collaborate with Platform Engineering, Security, DevOps, and Software Engineering teams
This position is based in Madrid with frequent travel to France required. The ideal candidate combines hands-on technical expertise with architectural thinking, comfortable working across cloud-native and traditional enterprise environments.
