Atom Computing is building quantum computers using arrays of optically trapped neutral atoms. As a Senior Infrastructure Engineer, you will enhance software development workflows and maintain the critical infrastructure powering the quantum computing platform. This role spans the entire stack—from on-premises systems to cloud infrastructure—requiring you to enable engineers and physicists to seamlessly deploy software and operate systems with reliability and efficiency. You will own infrastructure strategy and implementation across a hybrid environment, collaborating closely with a talented team of engineers and physicists. Responsibilities include designing and maintaining CI/CD pipelines, managing both on-prem and cloud resources, ensuring system reliability and scalability, and working to innovate approaches for managing distributed infrastructure. You'll report to the Software Engineering Manager and play a key role in supporting the company's mission to advance quantum computing. This is a hands-on technical role for someone with deep infrastructure expertise who can bridge software engineering needs with operational excellence. The position requires in-office presence at least 3 days per week in Boulder to collaborate effectively with the team and manage on-premises systems.
