Anduril Industries, a defense technology company, is seeking a Senior Industrial Engineer to optimize manufacturing operations across its portfolio of advanced defense systems. The Manufacturing team is responsible for rapidly iterating and scaling cutting-edge hardware—including static equipment, ground vehicles, sensors, undersea systems, and flight vehicles—across multiple manufacturing facilities. In this role, you will drive manufacturing optimization for quality, reliability, speed, and asset utilization while meeting critical customer deployment and internal development timelines. You will take a data-driven approach to designing production lines and manufacturing processes, serving as a connector among operational stakeholders to advance production capabilities. Key responsibilities include: - Producing and maintaining capacity models and production ramp plans to define labor planning, capex requirements, workstation design, and throughput gaps - Designing facility layouts and production lines using CAD and simulation to meet process requirements, optimize resource allocation, and maximize productivity - Identifying and championing improvements to high-variability issues and production bottlenecks, driving cross-disciplinary resolution - Owning manufacturing health reporting and analysis to inform decisions across Engineering, Supply Chain, Manufacturing, and Growth teams - Maintaining a data-driven virtual factory model as a digital reference for performance assessment - Leading production line and workstation design for both low-rate and full-rate production using Value Stream Mapping and Line Balancing Required qualifications include 5+ years in high-rate manufacturing (production or supply chain roles with complex mechanical/electrical assemblies), factory and production line design experience (Value Stream Mapping, flow lines, workstation design), material flow systems expertise (pull systems, Kanban, part presentation), proficiency with Siemens Plant Simulation or Process Simulation software, demonstrated ability to own value chains end-to-end under stringent quality standards, experience with ERP/WMS/MES systems, Lean Manufacturing knowledge, and strong technical ability to read drawings and understand diverse hardware manufacturing processes.
