Metriport is building the infrastructure layer for US healthcare by solving medical data exchange—one of the biggest unsolved problems in the industry. The company connects to thousands of legacy healthcare data sources, transforms raw unusable data into clean, standardized formats, and delivers it to care teams and AI agents. What used to take weeks now takes seconds, enabling clinicians to walk into appointments with complete patient context. Metriport has raised $28.4M from top-tier VCs (Matrix, ARTIS, Y Combinator), achieved product-market fit with multi-million dollar ARR, and serves 100+ customers including Amazon One Medical, Circle Medical, Color Health, and Strive Health. The company operates as a small, high-output team of mostly former founders with real autonomy and minimal bureaucracy. As a Senior Implementation Engineer, you will be the primary technical point of contact for customers throughout their partnership lifecycle. Your responsibilities include: - Conducting discovery calls with newly onboarded customers to understand use cases, technical requirements, and success criteria - Participating in weekly syncs with customers to ensure they derive value and successfully integrate Metriport into workflows - Maintaining customer relationships through regular check-ins and continuous support - Providing technical expertise on product capabilities, integrations, and implementation - Troubleshooting and debugging customer issues, escalating to engineering when needed - Managing customer requests by assessing priority, coordinating with teams, tracking progress, and communicating resolutions - Attending weekly team syncs to report on customer health, raise blockers, and discuss how customer feedback informs product development - Proactively communicating relevant product updates and new features aligned with customer needs - Participating in bi-weekly sprint planning/retro and quarterly planning sessions - Managing APIs and integrations to ensure seamless customer functionality - Supporting customers from onboarding through production rollout - Attending a daily 30-minute remote stand-up at 7:30am PST, Monday–Friday (only regular mandatory meeting) The role requires an entrepreneurial mindset, strong ownership, and the ability to solve problems outside your domain. You should care more about delivering customer value than using cutting-edge technology, and you should challenge scope estimates—asking why a 3-week project can't be done in 3 days while knowing the difference between shipping fast and cutting corners. The company culture emphasizes high output, autonomy, and trust. Leadership is in the office six days a week, and the team is generally expected to be available six days a week—not for hours counting, but because there's always more to do when revolutionizing healthcare. The company has never denied a time-off request and trusts the team to take the time they need. Requirements: - 6+ years of experience supporting software implementation - Full-stack technical skills: React, TypeScript, Node.js - Located in San Francisco or Bay Area (or willing to relocate) - Healthcare domain knowledge is a plus (familiarity with HIPAA, FHIR, HIE, IHE, EHR/EMR, NPI, TEFCA, ADT, HL7, HEDIS, RAF, SNOMED, LOINC, ICD-10 is valuable but not required)
