Salary: USD 120,000 - 130,000 / annual

OpenGov is seeking a Senior Implementation Consultant for Utility Billing to lead end-to-end implementations of its ERP platform for municipal and government clients. This role combines technical expertise with strategic advisory responsibilities, serving as the primary point of contact for complex customer implementations across the utility billing domain. Key responsibilities include managing full-cycle implementation projects from data requirements gathering through training and deployment; serving as technical and strategic advisor to government customers; analyzing customer requirements and developing tailored solutions that automate and enhance workflows; and collaborating with cross-functional teams (R&D, Sales, Engagement) to ensure successful deployments and maximum ROI. You will develop deep expertise in governmental processes across multiple states, establish best practices for data environments and customer verticals, and mentor team members on implementation methodologies. The role requires gathering and communicating customer feedback to inform product roadmaps and strategic initiatives. Required qualifications: 5+ years of software implementation consulting with demonstrated ERP platform expertise; advanced knowledge of financial data analysis and reporting; proficiency in customer training on software solutions; advanced Excel skills (functions, v-lookup, pivot tables, formatting); strong conceptualization and design skills; proven ability to lead and mentor teams; excellent communication skills; and advanced problem-solving abilities. Preferred experience includes 3+ years in Municipal Utility Billing or Tax Billing; familiarity with SaaS, APIs, or cloud technologies; knowledge of Agile & Scrum methodologies; ability to adapt to product changes; and stakeholder influence across disciplines.
