Salary: USD 120,000 - 130,000 / annual
OpenGov is seeking a Senior Implementation Consultant, Payroll to lead end-to-end implementation projects for government customers adopting the OpenGov ERP platform. You will drive value delivery by leveraging advanced product knowledge in payroll, HRIS, and workforce management systems to configure solutions, gather requirements, and ensure successful customer onboarding.
Key responsibilities include managing complex implementation projects from start to finish, serving as the primary technical and strategic advisor to customers, analyzing customer requirements and pain points to develop tailored solutions, and developing deep expertise in governmental processes across multiple states. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams including engagement, adoption, R&D, and sales to deliver consistent customer experiences, establish best practices for data environments, and mentor team members.
You will gather and document customer feedback to inform product roadmaps, provide training programs for new customers, and take ownership of strategic initiatives. The role requires balancing tactical delivery with strategic guidance on complex matters.
Required qualifications include 5+ years of software implementation consulting experience with demonstrated ERP platform expertise, advanced knowledge of financial data analysis and reporting, proficiency in customer training, advanced Excel skills, and proven ability to lead and mentor teams. You must have excellent communication skills, strong problem-solving abilities, and the capacity to develop efficient solutions through conceptualization and design.
Preferred experience includes 3+ years in payroll, HRIS, or workforce management; familiarity with SaaS, APIs, or cloud technologies; knowledge of Agile and Scrum methodologies; and the ability to adapt quickly to product changes and influence stakeholders across disciplines.
