Rocket Lab is seeking a Senior HRIS Analyst to join the Enterprise Information Systems (EIS) team at their Long Beach headquarters. This role is integral to supporting Rocket Lab's global operations across finance, HR, payroll, and launch operations.
You will specialize in HRIS platforms, particularly Workday HCM and ADP payroll systems, serving as a technical expert and strategic partner to HR, Finance, Payroll, EIS, and IT teams across multiple geographical locations.
Key responsibilities include:
- Lead the design, implementation, optimization, and maintenance of HR systems in collaboration with HR, Finance, EIS, IT, and external vendors
- Develop, configure, and deliver insightful reports and dashboards that provide actionable business insights
- Identify and execute process automation and optimization opportunities to drive business outcomes
- Ensure data accuracy and integrity across integrated applications through rigorous analysis, documentation, and issue resolution
- Design and execute comprehensive system tests, respond to user-reported issues, diagnose problems, and implement solutions
- Troubleshoot integration failures with benefit vendors and maintain system reliability
Required qualifications:
- 5+ years of hands-on Workday HCM administration experience with a bachelor's degree, or 9+ years of equivalent work experience
- Proven expertise in business requirements gathering and solution delivery
- Strong technical background with HR, recruitment, payroll, and collaboration tools (Workday mandatory)
- Experience drafting HRIS-related documentation including solution documents and technical/functional specifications
- Proficiency with Workday development tools including Workday Studio, calculated fields, and Workday Extend for building and maintaining integrations
Desirable qualifications include Workday HCM certification, bachelor's degree in HR/IT/business administration, excellent communication skills, and commitment to continuous learning in HRIS advancements.
Reports to the Manager of Enterprise Information Systems. The role involves occasional exposure to production environments with moderate noise, dust, and fumes.
