As a Senior HR Specialist in Employee Relations and Transitions (EMEA focus), you will serve as a critical extension of Remote's clients' HR teams, managing complex employee lifecycle matters with expertise in global employment compliance. This role sits within the Lifecycle team, which is responsible for maintaining and elevating HR practices while integrating cutting-edge technology solutions. Key responsibilities include: **Offboarding & Employee Exits**: Manage end-to-end employee exits across multiple international jurisdictions, ensuring legal compliance and superior customer experience. Lead and facilitate meetings with clients and external employees, including workforce reduction consultations, administrative hearings, and separation negotiations. Draft and administer termination documents with strict attention to detail and privacy compliance. Process offboarding through Remote's HRIS platform, coordinating with payroll, legal, benefits, and other internal teams. **Employee Relations Support**: Provide first-level guidance on workplace concerns, conduct preliminary assessments of employee relations matters, and identify applicable local regulations. Support clients in understanding progressive disciplinary approaches and documentation requirements. Monitor ongoing cases and ensure timely follow-up with relevant stakeholders. **Stakeholder Coordination**: Liaise with internal teams (Customer Success, Legal, Payroll, Benefits) and external parties (government bodies, trade unions, legal counsel) to ensure compliant and timely resolution of complex matters. Influence and negotiate positive outcomes in complex terminations while balancing competing stakeholder interests. **Subject Matter Expertise**: Serve as the go-to expert on offboarding and employee relations matters, responding to internal and external queries. Navigate clients through Remote's Employee Relations resources and guides. **Process Improvement**: Actively identify opportunities for process improvements, automation, and product development to enhance customer and employee experience. You will work asynchronously with a globally distributed team, bringing expertise in international employment law, HR best practices, and customer-centric problem-solving to shape the future of global employment.
