FlixBus is seeking a Senior HR Manager / HRBP for its Sofia Hub in Bulgaria. This is a strategic, high-impact role combining HR business partnering with local operational ownership and international exposure.
You will serve as the trusted HR point of contact for business leaders across multiple functions—Finance, HR, and Customer Service—while remaining closely integrated with international People teams. The role requires someone who thrives in fast-paced environments, brings deep Bulgarian HR expertise, and can operate independently while contributing to a collaborative global HR community.
Key Responsibilities:
Strategic HR Business Partnering: Act as primary HR partner to the local Managing Director and senior business leaders across Bulgaria and Global Accounting, providing strategic guidance on people topics. Drive and support key HR cycles including performance management, talent reviews, compensation planning, and organizational design. Lead change management initiatives, ensuring business continuity and employee engagement during transformation. Challenge constructively, influence decision-making, and build credibility with senior stakeholders.
People Operations & Compliance: Own all local HR operations including employment contracts, payroll interfaces, statutory compliance, and HR administration. Ensure full alignment with Bulgarian labour law and employment regulations, proactively managing risk and staying ahead of legislative changes. Coordinate and oversee local People Operations for operational excellence and process consistency.
Stakeholder & International Collaboration: Navigate a complex multi-stakeholder environment with business leaders across different functions, priorities, and countries. Align on key HR topics with international stakeholders and Centers of Excellence, representing Bulgaria and Accounting in global HR forums. Participate actively in international HR community initiatives and projects.
Required Qualifications:
- Minimum 10 years in HR, with at least 5 years in a Senior HR Manager role
- Deep, hands-on knowledge of Bulgarian labour law, employment regulations, and local HR practices
- Proven generalist HRBP background across multiple business functions and geographies
