Remote is a global HR compliance platform enabling organizations to recruit, pay, and manage international teams across 80+ countries. The Senior HR Lifecycle Specialist, Employee Relations and Transitions role is a critical customer-facing position within the Lifecycle team, serving as an extension of clients' HR departments.
Key responsibilities include managing end-to-end employee offboarding and exits across multiple international jurisdictions with a focus on legal compliance and superior customer service. The specialist handles complex terminations, resignations, transfers, redundancy processes, and employment contract matters. You will lead and facilitate meetings with clients and external employees, including workforce reduction consultations, administrative hearings, and separation negotiations, balancing multiple stakeholders with competing interests.
The role requires drafting and administering termination documents, maintaining employee records with strict privacy adherence, and processing offboarding through Remote's HRIS platform while coordinating with internal teams (payroll, legal, benefits, time & attendance). You'll serve as a subject-matter expert on offboarding and employee relations matters, responding to internal and external queries.
Additionally, you'll provide first-level employee relations support, conducting preliminary assessments of workplace concerns, identifying applicable local regulations, and coordinating with internal and external stakeholders. You'll guide clients through progressive disciplinary approaches, documentation requirements, and Remote's employee relations resources.
The position emphasizes process improvements, automation, and product development contributions aligned with Remote's strategic goals. This is a fully remote role within a distributed, asynchronous team operating across six continents, with innovation and automation embedded in all responsibilities.
