As a Senior HR Lifecycle Specialist in Employee Relations and Transitions, you will serve as a critical extension of Remote's clients' HR teams, managing complex employee exits and providing first-level employee relations support. This role sits within the Lifecycle team, which is responsible for maintaining gold-standard HR practices while integrating cutting-edge technology solutions.
Key responsibilities include:
**Offboarding & Exits**: Manage end-to-end employee separations across multiple international jurisdictions, ensuring legal compliance and superior customer experience. Lead and facilitate meetings with clients and external employees, including workforce reduction consultations, administrative hearings, and termination negotiations. Draft and administer all termination and supplementary documents with strict attention to detail and privacy compliance. Process offboarding through Remote's HRIS platform, coordinating with payroll, legal, benefits, and other internal stakeholders.
**Employee Relations**: Provide first-level support on workplace concerns, conducting preliminary assessments to identify key facts and applicable local regulations. Guide clients through progressive disciplinary approaches and documentation requirements. Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure appropriate handling of employee relations matters and monitor ongoing cases for timely follow-up.
**Stakeholder Management**: Liaise with and coordinate internal teams (Customer Success, Legal, Payroll, Benefits, Time & Attendance) and external parties (government bodies, trade unions, legal counsel) to ensure compliance. Serve as subject-matter expert on offboarding matters, responding to internal and external queries.
**Continuous Improvement**: Actively identify opportunities for process improvements, automation, and product development to enhance customer and employee experience. Contribute to strategic initiatives aligned with Remote's values and goals.
This role requires expertise in global employment law, strong negotiation skills, and the ability to balance multiple stakeholders with competing interests in complex termination scenarios.
