As a Senior HR Lifecycle Specialist focused on Employee Relations and Transitions, you will serve as a critical extension of Remote's clients' HR teams, managing complex employee exits and providing first-level employee relations support. This role sits within the Lifecycle team, which is responsible for maintaining and elevating HR practices through technology integration and enhanced customer experiences.
Key responsibilities include:
**Offboarding & Employee Exits:** Manage end-to-end employee separations across multiple international jurisdictions, ensuring legal compliance and superior customer experience. Lead and facilitate meetings with clients and employees regarding terminations, resignations, transfers, and redundancy processes. Draft and administer termination documents with precision, maintaining strict adherence to privacy regulations. Coordinate with internal teams (payroll, legal, benefits, time & attendance) and external stakeholders (government bodies, trade unions, legal counsel) to ensure compliant offboarding.
**Employee Relations Support:** Provide first-level guidance on workplace concerns, conduct preliminary assessments of employee relations matters, and identify applicable local regulations. Support clients in understanding progressive disciplinary approaches and documentation requirements. Monitor ongoing cases and coordinate with relevant stakeholders for timely resolution.
**Stakeholder Management & Negotiation:** Influence positive outcomes in complex terminations by balancing multiple stakeholders with competing interests. Serve as subject-matter expert on offboarding matters, responding to internal and external queries. Navigate clients through Remote's employee relations resources and policies.
**Process Improvement:** Actively identify opportunities for process improvements, automation, and product development to enhance customer and employee experience. Contribute to strategic initiatives aligned with Remote's core values and goals.
The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in international employment law, strong negotiation skills, and the ability to manage sensitive situations with professionalism and empathy. You'll work asynchronously with a global team, leveraging automation and AI capabilities to scale impact across diverse regulatory environments.
