Remote is a global HR platform that enables businesses to recruit, pay, and manage international teams compliantly across 80+ countries. The Senior HR Lifecycle Specialist, Employee Relations and Transitions role is a critical position within the Lifecycle team, serving as an extension of clients' HR departments. The role independently manages complex end-to-end employee exits and offboarding processes across multiple international jurisdictions with minimal supervision. Key responsibilities include: **Offboarding & Separations:** Manage and resolve complex employee exits with a focus on legal compliance and superior customer experience. Provide expert guidance on termination, resignation, transfer procedures, employment contracts, and redundancy processes. Lead and facilitate meetings with clients and external employees, including workforce reduction consultations, administrative hearings, and separation negotiations. Draft, tailor, and administer all termination and supplementary documents with strict attention to detail and privacy compliance. **Employee Relations Support:** Provide first-level employee relations support, guiding clients through workplace concerns and coordinating appropriate resources. Conduct preliminary assessments of workplace concerns, identifying key facts, applicable local regulations, and potential paths forward. Guide clients on progressive disciplinary approaches, documentation requirements, and best practices for handling difficult situations. **Stakeholder Coordination:** Liaise with and coordinate internal and external stakeholders including payroll, legal counsel, government bodies, and trade unions to ensure compliance. Process offboarding on Remote's HRIS platform, collaborating with Customer Success, Legal, Payroll, Benefits, and other internal teams. **Team Leadership & Mentorship:** Act as a trusted colleague providing expertise, mentoring, and guidance to junior team members. Drive process improvements and initiatives aligned with Remote's strategic goals and values. The ideal candidate brings deep knowledge of international employment law, excellent judgment in complex situations, and a commitment to delivering exceptional customer service while maintaining strict compliance standards.
