Remote is a global HR compliance platform enabling businesses to recruit, pay, and manage international teams across 80+ countries. The Senior HR Lifecycle Specialist, Employee Relations and Transitions role is a critical position within the Lifecycle team, serving as a trusted advisor to Remote's clients on complex employment matters.
In this role, you will independently manage end-to-end employee exits and offboarding processes across multiple international jurisdictions with minimal supervision. You'll handle complex terminations, resignations, transfers, redundancies, and employment contract matters while ensuring legal compliance and delivering exceptional customer service. Key responsibilities include leading workforce reduction consultations, facilitating administrative hearings, negotiating separation agreements, and drafting tailored termination documentation.
You will also provide first-level employee relations support, conducting preliminary assessments of workplace concerns, guiding clients through progressive discipline, and serving as a trusted resource for complex HR scenarios. The role requires coordinating with internal stakeholders (payroll, legal, benefits, customer success) and external parties (government bodies, legal counsel, trade unions) to ensure compliant and timely offboarding administration.
As a senior individual contributor, you'll mentor junior team members, provide expertise and guidance, and drive process improvements aligned with Remote's strategic goals. You'll leverage Remote's HRIS platform and work asynchronously across multiple time zones. The ideal candidate brings deep knowledge of international employment law, excellent judgment in navigating complex stakeholder dynamics, and a commitment to delivering delightful customer experiences while maintaining strict compliance and confidentiality standards.
