The Senior HR Lifecycle Specialist, Employee Relations and Transitions role is a critical position within the Lifecycle team, serving as an extension of clients' HR departments. The specialist independently manages complex, end-to-end employee exits across multiple international jurisdictions with minimal supervision, prioritizing legal compliance, quality, and excellent customer service. Key responsibilities include: **Offboarding & Terminations:** Manage and resolve complex employee exits independently, providing expert guidance on termination procedures, resignation handling, transfer processes, employment contracts, and redundancy across various jurisdictions. Lead and facilitate meetings with clients and external employees, including workforce reduction consultations, administrative hearings, and separation negotiations. Draft, tailor, and administer all termination and supplementary documents with strict attention to detail and privacy compliance. Process offboarding through Remote's HRIS platform, coordinating with payroll, legal, benefits, and other internal teams. **Employee Relations:** Provide first-level employee relations support, guiding clients through workplace concerns and coordinating appropriate resources. Conduct preliminary assessments of workplace issues, identifying key facts, applicable regulations, and potential solutions. Serve as a trusted resource for handling complex cases and guide clients on progressive discipline, documentation, and best practices. **Stakeholder Management:** Liaise with and coordinate internal and external stakeholders—including payroll, legal counsel, government bodies, and trade unions—to ensure compliance in offboarding activities and audits. Influence and negotiate positive outcomes in complex terminations, navigating multiple stakeholders with competing interests. **Team Leadership & Process Improvement:** Act as a trusted mentor and escalation point for junior team members, providing expertise and guidance. Drive process improvements and strategic initiatives aligned with Remote's goals and values. The role leverages automation and AI capabilities as part of Remote's innovation focus.
