Remote is a global HR platform enabling organizations to recruit, pay, and manage international teams compliantly across 80+ countries. The Senior HR Lifecycle Specialist, Employee Relations and Transitions role is a critical position within the Lifecycle team, serving as a trusted advisor to Remote's clients on complex HR matters.
In this role, you will independently manage end-to-end employee exits and provide first-level employee relations support across multiple international jurisdictions. Key responsibilities include:
Offboarding & Separations: Manage complex employee exits with minimal supervision, ensuring legal compliance and superior customer experience. Lead and facilitate meetings with clients and external employees, including workforce reduction consultations, administrative hearings, and termination negotiations. Provide expert guidance on termination procedures, resignation processes, employment contracts, and redundancy across key jurisdictions. Draft and administer termination documents with precision while maintaining strict confidentiality and privacy compliance.
Employee Relations: Conduct preliminary assessments of workplace concerns, identifying applicable local regulations and potential resolution paths. Serve as a trusted resource for internal and external stakeholders on complex employee relations matters. Guide clients through progressive disciplinary approaches, documentation requirements, and best practices for handling difficult workplace situations.
Stakeholder Coordination: Liaise with internal teams (payroll, legal, benefits, time & attendance) and external parties (government bodies, legal counsel, trade unions) to ensure compliant offboarding. Process offboarding activities on Remote's HRIS platform, coordinating across multiple verticals.
Team Leadership: Act as a trusted mentor and escalation point for junior team members, providing expertise and guidance. Drive process improvements and strategic initiatives aligned with Remote's values and goals.
This is a fully remote position working with a distributed, asynchronous global team. You'll work on ambitious problems at the intersection of HR compliance, technology, and customer service, directly influencing Remote's ability to expand compliance coverage and enhance customer experiences worldwide.
