The Senior HR Lifecycle Specialist, Employee Relations and Transitions role is a critical position within the Lifecycle team, serving as an extension of clients' HR departments.
In this role, you will independently manage complex, end-to-end employee exits across multiple international jurisdictions with minimal supervision, prioritizing legal compliance, quality, and excellent customer service. You will handle offboarding processes including terminations, resignations, transfers, and redundancy procedures, ensuring adherence to local employment laws and best practices.
Key responsibilities include:
- Managing and resolving complex employee exits across multiple countries, leading meetings with clients and external employees including workforce reduction consultations, administrative hearings, and separation negotiations
- Providing expert guidance on jurisdiction-specific employment matters, employment contracts, and compliance requirements
- Drafting, tailoring, and administering termination documents with accuracy while maintaining strict privacy and confidentiality standards
- Processing offboarding through Remote's HRIS platform, coordinating with internal teams (payroll, legal, benefits, time & attendance, customer success)
- Serving as first-level employee relations support, conducting preliminary assessments of workplace concerns and guiding clients through complex scenarios
- Acting as a trusted escalation point and mentor to junior team members, providing expertise and guidance
- Driving process improvements and strategic initiatives aligned with Remote's values
You will work asynchronously with a distributed team across 6 continents, leveraging automation and AI capabilities integrated into the role. This position requires deep knowledge of global employment regulations, strong negotiation skills, excellent judgment in complex situations, and a commitment to delivering exceptional customer experiences.
