Remote is a global HR compliance platform enabling businesses to recruit, pay, and manage international teams across 80+ countries. The Senior HR Lifecycle Specialist, Employee Relations and Transitions role is a critical position within the Lifecycle team, serving as an extension of clients' HR departments. The role independently manages complex, end-to-end employee exits across multiple international jurisdictions with a focus on legal compliance, quality service delivery, and exceptional customer experience. Key responsibilities include managing terminations, resignations, transfers, and redundancy processes; providing expert guidance on employment law and best practices; leading and facilitating meetings with clients and employees including workforce reduction consultations and settlement negotiations; and drafting and administering all termination documentation with strict attention to detail and privacy compliance. The specialist also provides first-level employee relations support, helping clients navigate workplace concerns and complex scenarios. This includes conducting preliminary assessments of workplace issues, identifying applicable local regulations, guiding clients through progressive discipline and documentation, and serving as a trusted resource for internal and external stakeholders. As a senior individual contributor, the role includes mentoring and providing guidance to junior team members, acting as a point of escalation with good judgment. The specialist coordinates across multiple internal stakeholders (payroll, legal, benefits, customer success) and external parties (government bodies, trade unions, legal counsel) to ensure compliant and timely offboarding administration on Remote's HRIS platform. The position is part of a larger strategic initiative to elevate HR practices, integrate cutting-edge technology and AI solutions, and enhance customer journeys globally. The ideal candidate brings expertise in international employment law, strong negotiation and communication skills, and a commitment to process improvement aligned with Remote's core values of innovation and excellence.
