Remote is a global HR compliance platform that enables organizations to recruit, pay, and manage international teams across 80+ countries. As a Senior HR Lifecycle Specialist in Employee Relations and Transitions, you will independently manage complex end-to-end employee exits and provide first-level employee relations support to Remote's external clients.
Key responsibilities include:
**Offboarding & Exits**: Manage complex, multi-jurisdictional employee terminations, resignations, and redundancy processes with minimal supervision. Lead and facilitate meetings with clients and employees, including workforce reduction consultations, administrative hearings, and separation negotiations. Ensure legal compliance and best practices across all jurisdictions.
**Documentation & Compliance**: Draft, tailor, and administer termination documents with precision. Maintain employee records with strict adherence to privacy and confidentiality regulations. Coordinate with payroll, legal counsel, government bodies, and trade unions to ensure compliant offboarding.
**HRIS Administration**: Process offboarding activities on Remote's internal platform, collaborating with Customer Success, Legal, Payroll, Benefits, and Time & Attendance teams to ensure comprehensive and timely employee exit administration.
**Employee Relations Support**: Provide first-level guidance on workplace concerns, conduct preliminary assessments of complex scenarios, and identify applicable local regulations and potential solutions. Serve as a trusted resource for clients navigating difficult workplace situations.
**Mentorship & Process Improvement**: Act as an escalation point and mentor to junior team members, providing expertise and guidance. Drive process improvements and strategic initiatives aligned with Remote's values and goals.
You will work asynchronously with a distributed global team, leveraging automation and AI capabilities. The role requires deep knowledge of international employment law, excellent judgment in complex negotiations, and a commitment to delivering exceptional customer service across diverse regulatory environments.
