Decagon is a conversational AI platform enabling enterprises like Avis, Block, Chime, and Oura Health to deploy AI agents for customer support and operations. The company is scaling from 400 to 1,000+ employees and seeks a Senior HR Business Partner to serve as a trusted advisor to leaders across Engineering, Product, and Design.
You will act as a strategic partner to senior leaders on organizational design, workforce planning, team effectiveness, and leadership development. Key responsibilities include:
**Strategic Partnership & Org Effectiveness**: Advise executives on org design, headcount planning, and team structure. Partner with Finance on compensation cycles and GTM org planning. Build scalable playbooks for onboarding, performance calibration, and career development tailored to technical teams.
**Performance & Coaching**: Provide coaching to leaders on performance management, feedback delivery, and people leadership. Sit in on difficult conversations and offer actionable feedback. Drive consistent performance management, promotions, and career development. Use people and business data to proactively identify talent and retention risks.
**Employee Relations**: Serve as a trusted advisor on complex ER matters within Engineering and Product, balancing fairness, business need, and compliance. Build a culture of trust through communication and engagement strategies.
**Cross-Functional Collaboration**: Collaborate with People Ops and Talent Acquisition on seamless onboarding and employee experience. Own change management initiatives and define the HRBP operating model for a growing team. Serve as a cultural ambassador embedding company values in leadership.
You bring 8+ years of HR experience, ideally as an HRBP in high-growth SaaS/tech companies supporting technical functions. You have expertise in org design, change management, workforce planning, and succession planning. You're comfortable in both strategic and hands-on roles in dynamic environments. Bonus: global HR experience, close work with Finance on capacity planning, and an AI-forward mindset for HR operations.
