Rocket Lab is seeking a Senior Global Supply Manager II to lead sourcing and supplier management for its rocket and satellite programs. Based at the Long Beach headquarters, you'll develop and execute sourcing strategies aligned with program goals for cost, quality, and delivery. Key responsibilities include building and maintaining strong supplier relationships from RFI through contract execution, leading supplier negotiations on a first-principles basis to secure best-in-class terms, and driving continuous improvement through metrics and scorecards. You'll collaborate cross-functionally with engineering, manufacturing, and quality teams to ensure supplier capabilities meet requirements from prototyping through full-scale production. The role involves identifying and mitigating supply chain risks, engaging with legal/contracts on framework development, identifying cost savings opportunities, and conducting market research to inform strategic decisions. You'll act as the go-to procurement expert solving challenges in a fast-paced, high-growth environment supporting Electron and Neutron rocket programs and Space Systems initiatives. The position requires 8+ years of procurement, sourcing, or supplier management experience, a bachelor's degree (or 12+ years equivalent work experience), and U.S. citizenship due to program requirements. Aerospace, automotive, or disruptive manufacturing experience is preferred, along with familiarity with AS9100, export controls, APICS certification, and ability to travel domestically and internationally up to 10% of the time.
