Mixpanel is seeking a Senior Global Benefits Manager to own the design, delivery, and governance of benefits programs across all countries where the company operates. This is a high-autonomy individual contributor role that does not manage people directly but leads cross-functional initiatives spanning HR, Finance, Legal, and regional teams. Key responsibilities include designing and continuously improving health, retirement, wellness, and leave programs while balancing local regulatory requirements with a consistent global philosophy. You will scope and lead ambiguous, complex initiatives such as country expansions, M&A integrations, and plan redesigns—defining problems, identifying stakeholders, and charting approaches with limited initial guidance. You'll own vendor and broker relationships globally, including renewal negotiations and accountability for cost and service commitments. The role requires deep expertise in benefits compliance frameworks including ERISA, ACA, COBRA, HIPAA, and international equivalents like GDPR. You'll monitor regulatory changes, assess their impact, and serve as Mixpanel's go-to compliance resource. You'll analyze program cost and utilization data to identify savings opportunities and inform annual budgeting, translating findings into clear recommendations for leadership. Additionally, you'll develop benefits education and self-service resources that simplify complex programs for employees, and explore how AI and new tools can improve reporting, analysis, and employee support. Ideal candidates have led complex, ambiguous cross-functional projects independently (not just executed defined processes), with specific examples to demonstrate impact. You should have working knowledge of benefits and employment compliance frameworks, experience managing vendors and brokers through renewals, and a track record of turning data into actionable recommendations. Strong written and verbal communication skills are essential, particularly when communicating complicated information to diverse audiences. You'll operate with high independence in a fast-changing, multi-country environment and should be comfortable adopting new tools, including AI, to improve existing work. A degree in HR, business, finance, or related field (or equivalent experience) is required. Bonus qualifications include experience with global benefits platforms like Paylocity or Bswift, relevant certifications (CEBS, PHR, SHRM-CP), M&A or new country entry experience, and familiarity with benefits programs in high-growth, distributed companies.
