The AI Orchestration team is partnering with the largest community care organization in the world to completely reimagine revenue cycle operations—from referral intake through claims payment. You'll design systems from scratch, iterate rapidly against real customer specifications, and ship software that directly transforms how a massive healthcare organization operates. The problems are novel and high-stakes: real-time bulk insurance eligibility checks, AI-driven detection of payment variances against thousands of insurer contracts, intelligent patient outreach, and modernized intake and referral workflows at enterprise scale.
You'll own outcomes end-to-end: product thinking, technical design, timeline management, and delivery. Responsibilities include designing and building new systems from the ground up, building and scaling data ingestion pipelines for large volumes of healthcare and claims data, developing full-stack applications from backend services to user-facing interfaces, applying LLMs and AI at scale to solve operational problems like claims variance detection and contract intelligence, collaborating with a small high-caliber engineering team, participating actively in code review, and helping raise the bar on engineering quality.
The team works directly alongside clinicians without layers of process, meaning the gap between what you build and its impact on patient care is immediate. You'll move fast, deploy daily, and take full ownership from early thinking to production.
REQUIREMENTS:
- 4+ years of professional software engineering experience
- Experience building and deploying LLM-powered systems or applying AI at scale in production
- Strong full-stack skills; comfortable across the stack including Python, FastAPI, AWS, Redis, and React
- Experience working directly with customers or stakeholders to translate ambiguous requirements into shipped systems
- Experience owning production systems on an on-call rotation
- Bias toward speed and ownership—prefer building and iterating over waiting for perfect requirements
- Strong stakeholder communication skills; ability to explain technical tradeoffs to non-technical audiences
- No prior healthcare experience required; domain experience is a plus, not a requirement
