Mirantis is seeking a Senior Full-Stack TypeScript Engineer to build and maintain the web platform through which enterprise users manage a multi-tenant control plane powering AI infrastructure. You will own the complete web stack—from React components and Next.js server logic to authentication, API proxying, and automated SDK generation—enabling organizations to establish tenancy, orchestrate GPU resources, configure access policies, and observe cluster metrics in real time.
You will work across a distributed team spanning North America, Europe, and Asia, driving frontend features from design through production deployment. The role demands deep full-stack ownership: building resilient, information-dense web tools for system administrators managing complex infrastructure.
Key responsibilities include:
- Building product features end-to-end in Next.js and React (server components, route handlers, client interactivity, data layer)
- Developing and extending the shared component library and design tokens, implementing Figma specs across light and dark themes
- Owning the server tier between browser and platform: request proxying, session handling, secure credential management
- Implementing authentication and authorization (OIDC login, JWT verification, session expiry, role-based UI gating)
- Maintaining the TypeScript SDK generated from OpenAPI specifications, including codegen pipeline and drift detection
- Partnering with backend teams on API contracts, negotiating efficient response shapes rather than building workarounds
- Building a resilient data layer with caching, invalidation, optimistic updates, pagination, and honest loading/error states
- Writing tests at every level: component tests with mocked network behavior and Playwright end-to-end suites against live environments
- Ensuring accessibility, responsive behavior, and optimal web performance (bundle size, render cost, route-level shipping)
- Instrumenting the application for production: error tracking, product analytics, feature flags, structured logging
- Reviewing peer code, debugging production issues to root cause with regression coverage, and mentoring junior engineers
Requirements:
- 8+ years of professional software engineering with deep production experience in TypeScript and modern React paradigms
- Next.js architecture mastery: deep understanding of server/client component boundary, caching strategies, server-side rendering
- Genuine full-stack range: comfortable and secure owning server-side code and API proxies, not just browser logic
- Practical web-tier security experience: OAuth2/OIDC flows, JWT verification, secure cookie/session management
- Architectural fluency in managing complex application state and bridging server-state synchronization with client UI updates
- Strong CSS architecture and design-system practice: utility-first CSS, scalable theming, accessible component APIs on headless primitives
- Testing discipline across unit, component, and end-to-end layers, including network mocking and CI integration
- Experience working in monorepos with shared packages and task-graph build systems
- Clear written English for design docs, review comments, and asynchronous collaboration across global time zones
Must-have technical skills (deep production experience in several; engineering fundamentals to learn the rest rapidly):
- Core: TypeScript, React 19, Next.js (App Router), Node.js 22+
- Styling & Components: Tailwind CSS v4, headless primitives (Base UI, Radix), CVA, design tokens, theming
- Data: TanStack Query, Zod validation, OpenAPI-generated TypeScript clients
- Auth: OIDC/JWT session handling in server tier (jose or equivalent), cookie security, role-based access control
- Testing: Vitest, Testing Library, MSW, Playwright
- Tooling: pnpm workspaces, Turborepo, ESLint, Prettier, GitHub Actions
- Production: Error tracking and product analytics (Sentry, PostHog, or equivalent), Docker-packaged deployment
Nice-to-have:
- Kubernetes or cloud infrastructure product experience
- GPU infrastructure or AI/ML platform UI work
- Rich editor integration (YAML editing/validation), map/geospatial visualization, animations (motion.dev, CSS)
- Web performance optimization: Core Web Vitals, bundle analysis, streaming, partial rendering
- Feature-flag driven delivery and experimentation
- Design-system ownership (Ladle, Storybook, visual regression testing)
- OpenTelemetry or structured client-side logging
- Go familiarity for reading backend services
- CNCF or React/TypeScript ecosystem open-source contributions
Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science & Engineering or related field, or 10+ years related experience.
