Amperesand is building intelligent, software-defined power infrastructure products to modernize energy systems for the AI and renewable energy era. The company has developed advanced medium-voltage solid-state transformer technology and is now scaling manufacturing and deployment globally, with hubs in San Francisco, Reno, and Singapore.
You will own the full-stack design, architecture, and delivery of Amperesand's ERP platform, manufacturing execution system (MES), and internal intranet tools that power the company's manufacturing, supply chain, finance, and corporate operations. This is a hands-on role spanning backend services in Go, React/TypeScript frontends, and data modeling—working end-to-end from requirements through production.
Key responsibilities include:
- Design and build backend services in Go supporting mission-critical manufacturing, supply chain, and enterprise workflows
- Develop responsive, accessible, performant React/TypeScript interfaces for complex operational data and workflows
- Own features across ERP domains: inventory, procurement, work orders, reporting, employee directories, document management, internal workflows, approvals, and self-service tools
- Integrate AI-assisted capabilities: natural-language search over internal knowledge, document summarization, workflow assistance
- Collaborate closely with product, design, backend, and domain expert teams
- Support and maintain existing production software, ensuring reliability and continuous improvement
- Set technical direction and architecture standards (Staff level)
The role is open at Senior or Staff level. Senior engineers own significant features end-to-end and mentor peers. Staff engineers additionally set technical direction across platforms, lead cross-team initiatives, and own long-term architectural health. This is a fast-paced, high-agency startup environment with a small team and broad surface area—you'll need strong ownership, product judgment, pragmatism, and urgency.
