As a Senior Full Stack Engineer on the Platform Experience team, you will build and manage scalable, highly available applications and services that support Mux's products and growing traffic. You'll work on both customer-facing platform resilience and new application code for product features, taking strong ownership of critical product infrastructure.
Key responsibilities include:
- Collaborating with your team to execute on product goals and technical roadmap
- Developing user-facing, product-focused features in Elixir and Go backend services and React frontend
- Building and scaling the billing and usage platform that supports all Mux products
- Working on identity and account management product features
- Implementing distributed notifications including application webhooks and alerting features
- Deploying and maintaining complex applications on cloud platforms using container orchestration

REQUIREMENTS:
- 6+ years of software engineering experience at mid to senior level
- Strong fundamentals across multiple platforms and environments
- Computer Science degree preferred
- Track record working on hard problems including job scheduling, concurrency, and scaling
- Proficiency in JavaScript/TypeScript and React
- Experience building REST APIs
- Elixir experience is a strong plus; Go, Python, Ruby, Node, or other general-purpose languages also valued
- Experience deploying complex applications on cloud platforms using container orchestration (e.g., Kubernetes)
- Experience with SQL databases; ClickHouse experience is a plus
- Comfort in fast-paced, highly collaborative environments working across multiple areas
- Video experience is a plus but not required
