Creem is seeking a Senior Fraud Analyst to own and build out its fraud prevention program end-to-end. Currently supported by external consultants, this role will bring fraud expertise in-house and establish a proactive, real-time fraud detection and prevention capability. You will design, implement, and continuously improve Creem's entire fraud prevention framework, including strategy, controls, tooling, and processes. Key responsibilities include: - Building proactive, real-time automated fraud detection rules and scenarios that act at transaction time, covering patterns typical of SaaS and AI businesses such as card testing, stolen-card usage, free-trial and refund abuse, and account takeover. You will work with and implement sophisticated AI/ML models and controls alongside rule-based approaches. - Driving decisions with data by analyzing transaction, dispute, and merchant data to identify emerging fraud patterns, measuring control performance (catch rate, false positives, financial impact), and iterating on rules and models based on evidence. - Owning merchant risk policies and procedures for onboarding and ongoing monitoring to identify high-risk actors before they generate losses or compliance exposure, while minimizing impact on legitimate merchants. - Managing end-customer fraud as a merchant-of-record, analyzing end-customer activity and data connections to ensure transaction legitimacy. - Evaluating, integrating, and tuning external fraud prevention and risk tools, owning vendor relationships and making deliberate build-vs-buy decisions. - Protecting PSP and card network relationships by designing the program to keep fraud and chargeback ratios below thresholds, preventing fines and penalties, and automating dispute and chargeback handling. - Documenting and operationalizing risk policies, procedures, and automated systems to ensure auditability and explainability to partners. - Building in-house competence by taking over scope currently covered by external consultants and establishing internal capability, including hiring as needed. Success means running a proactive, largely real-time fraud prevention program with automated controls and documented procedures covering the full lifecycle, maintaining fraud and dispute ratios below PSP and card network thresholds, and eliminating the need for external consultant engagement.
