Salary: USD 125,000 - 145,000 / annual
Melio, a fintech company now part of Xero, is seeking a Senior FP&A Analyst to join its Finance team in New York City (hybrid, 3 days in-office). This role sits at the intersection of finance and strategy, supporting rapid growth and cross-entity integration across the US market.
You will own the FP&A side of Sales and GTM incentive plans and spend, building and maintaining related budgets and rolling forecasts. Key responsibilities include supporting OPEX planning and tracking, leading monthly and quarterly budget-vs-actual reporting and performance decks, and translating financial results into actionable insights for senior management. You'll partner with leaders across GTM, Finance, Strategy, and BizDev as a trusted advisor, contribute to top-line revenue planning and forecasting, and build financial models to support forecasts, scenario planning, and strategic requests.
Additionally, you'll play an active role in the monthly close process, support investor packages, and serve as a key finance connection to Xero's regional and GTM finance teams, aligning metric definitions and reporting standards. You'll drive improvements and automation across FP&A processes and reporting.
The Finance department at Melio is deeply involved in product design, fund flow management, and decision-making at the highest levels. You'll work alongside product, engineering, and business teams in a uniquely collaborative environment where finance analysis directly influences product and strategy decisions.
Required qualifications: 4+ years of FP&A experience, ideally in high-growth or fintech; advanced Excel and Google Sheets skills with ability to build robust models and automate work; strong business acumen and strategic thinking; proficiency with AI tools and automation; track record owning budget and rolling-forecast cycles end-to-end; outstanding communication and business-partnering skills with senior stakeholders; exceptional attention to detail; Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, or related field.
Bonus qualifications: hands-on ERP or planning system experience (Anaplan preferred); strong understanding of SaaS metrics (MRR, S&M efficiency, funnel metrics); experience at multi-entity companies; history of improving and automating FP&A processes; exposure to financial reporting systems like Pigment or NetSuite.
