Vanta is seeking a Senior Financial Systems Engineer to own the end-to-end health and evolution of the financial technology stack, data, and system integrations across Procure-to-Pay (P2P) and Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) verticals. This is a rare opportunity to shape foundational decisions in an early-stage finance systems function rather than inherit legacy systems.
Key responsibilities include:
- Architect and manage Zip (P2P) platform including workflows, integrations, customizations, and AI-driven automation
- Lead implementation of Vanta's first Corporate Performance Management (CPM) tool in partnership with implementation vendors, owning post-launch operations
- Design the Finance and Accounting data model in Snowflake with the Data/Analytics team, translating FP&A and Accounting requirements into SQL models
- Build and maintain integrations between NetSuite and adjacent systems (Salesforce, Stripe, Anrok, Tesorio, Workato, Zip, Snowflake, Slack) using iPaaS tooling and APIs
- Partner across Procurement, AP, FP&A, Accounting, Legal, GRC, Data/Analytics, and RevOps to translate business needs into durable system solutions
Required qualifications:
- 5+ years hands-on Financial Systems Analyst/Engineering/Management experience in high-growth SaaS, including leading projects from requirements through go-live
- Deep P2P expertise and configuration/administration of procurement tools (Zip, Coupa, Ariba, or similar)
- Proficiency in SQL: writing, reviewing, and debugging custom scripts end-to-end
- Experience designing, implementing, and supporting CPM tools (Adaptive Insights, Pigment, Anaplan, or similar)
- Multi-system integration experience using iPaaS platforms and APIs (Workato, Boomi, or similar)
- Practical understanding of AI governance frameworks (human-in-the-loop, auditability, SOX compliance) and embedding AI into finance/accounting workflows
- Strong written communication and design documentation skills
- NetSuite and CPQ experience is a plus
- Must be authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship
- Openness to using AI to amplify skills and improve efficiency
