Shoulder Innovations (NYSE: SI) is a public orthopedic medical device company seeking a Senior Financial Reporting Analyst to support its financial reporting and compliance functions. This hybrid role is based in Grand Rapids, Michigan.
You will own critical financial reporting responsibilities including SEC compliance (10-K, 10-Q, 8-K filings), technical accounting research and documentation, and SOX control design and execution. Key responsibilities include maintaining accounting for debt and stock compensation, preparing financial statements and analytics, performing variance analysis, and serving as a liaison to internal and external auditors. You'll provide monthly, quarterly, and ad hoc financial reporting to leadership and support cross-functional stakeholders with financial analysis and insights.
The ideal candidate brings a bachelor's degree in accounting (CPA strongly preferred) and a minimum of 3 years of accounting or auditing experience, ideally from a Big 4 firm. You should demonstrate strong technical accounting knowledge, exceptional attention to detail, excellent organizational and communication skills, and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment. Proficiency in Microsoft Office and analytical problem-solving are essential.
