Lightspeed is seeking a Senior Financial Analyst to join their Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) team in Montreal. This role is central to the company's financial operations, requiring you to create data-driven analyses that hold senior leadership accountable to budget targets and business objectives. Key responsibilities include establishing strong business partnerships with leaders across the organization, preparing presentations and reports for senior management, and developing or improving budgeting, forecasting, and long-term planning processes. You will perform deep monthly and quarterly variance analysis against budget and forecast, deliver accurate and timely month-end reporting, and provide analytical support to guide strategic business decisions. The role also involves developing new analyses and improving metrics to better support executive decision-making, plus ad hoc projects such as assessing new business activities or process improvements. You will bring 3–5 years of progressive financial analysis experience, ideally in a business partner or corporate FP&A capacity. Required skills include expert-level Excel proficiency, strong financial modeling capabilities, excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities, and demonstrated success in deadline-driven, fast-paced environments. A Bachelor's degree in Business, Accounting, or Finance is required. You must be highly detail-oriented, organized, and able to communicate effectively with all management levels while multitasking and adapting quickly to change. Experience with Pigment planning tools or customer support organizations is a plus but not required. Lightspeed values people who are self-motivated, passionate about P&L growth, and willing to contribute beyond strict role scope to achieve organizational goals. The team is small (10 people) and globally distributed. The role offers a hybrid work arrangement with 3 days per week in office, flexible paid time off, remote work policies, equity options, pension contributions, training opportunities, health and wellness credits, volunteer time, and enhanced parental leave. Lightspeed, founded in 2005 in Montreal, is a dual-listed commerce platform company (NYSE: LSPD, TSX: LSPD) serving retail, hospitality, and golf businesses across 100+ countries.
