Netlify's Finance team is seeking a Senior Financial Analyst to own the corporate finance cadence and drive transformation of financial processes through AI and automation. This is an individual contributor role with significant ownership and impact.
You will own the monthly reporting cycle end-to-end, including actuals loading, budget-vs-actuals analysis, variance commentary, and management reporting packages that provide actionable insights. You'll maintain and run the 3-statement operating model and driver-based forecasts, including reforecast mechanics and scenario planning. Headcount and software/vendor expense forecasting will be your responsibility, with tracking of actuals against approved budgets throughout each month.
Key responsibilities include maintaining the company-level KPI and metrics layer (ARR, NRR, gross margin, CAC payback, Rule of 40) with full data integrity ownership. You'll manage the Pigment financial planning system—model hygiene, integrations, and report building—keeping it reliable as the source of truth. Department-level budget tracking reports and support for department leaders on budget, headcount, and software spend questions are core to the role.
A major focus is driving automation of manual work in the monthly close and forecast cycles using AI and tooling improvements, with measurable reduction in cycle time. You'll document processes to ensure they're repeatable, auditable, and not dependent on any one person. Building internal tooling to improve financial reporting and budget workflows, moving the team away from spreadsheet-dependent processes, is an ongoing initiative.
You'll partner closely with GTM leadership on sales team planning and KPI tracking, serving as a reliable point of contact for spend and headcount questions. The role requires several years of FP&A, strategic finance, investment banking, or private equity experience with direct exposure to recurring corporate finance cycles. You must have a history of building and maintaining 3-statement financial models with scenario planning and sensitivity analysis, strong US GAAP and accounting principles knowledge, and advanced proficiency in Google Sheets or Excel with large datasets and formula-heavy models.
Deep command of SaaS metrics and their drivers is essential, along with demonstrated ability to own deliverables independently and produce clear, accurate output ready for leadership without rework. You should have a consistent drive to improve workflows and self-motivation to manage competing priorities without close oversight. SQL knowledge is a plus. The ideal candidate is energized by owning processes, takes quality seriously, is improvement-focused by default, thrives in collaborative high-expectation environments, and is excited by the opportunity to build and transform the finance function.
